How can the city and the harbour find a symbiositic relationship?
Rijeka is known to be a harbour with a city and not a city with a harbour.
Although this statement conveys the importance of the harbour in the seaside landscape and in the city‘s economy, it also suggests a breaking balance in which the fragilised city struggles to access the water and therefore to affirm its identity.
