"The concept is the implementatin of a circular plastic industry in Rijeka. The strategic procedere includes a plastic production and recycling station - 3D Printing Lab, Workshops and Marketspaces for Cratives. Additionally the program includes a bio-refinery for ligning bio-plastic and a Education centre."

"The project is about sustainable local food production in cities. Rijeka is a city on the coastline. 80% of mega cities are located by the sea. How can we produce food locally and how can we reduce the ecological footprint?"

"Like many other Port Cities Rijeka has experienced a shift of the commercial harbour activities to harbour sites away from the historical basins and piers at the city core. This historical harbour areas and adjacent (infra-) structures are today mostly out of use and inaccessible. The Blue City Project aims to repurpose this underused post industrial „waterscape“ for housing and recreational uses in the long term."

"The empty factory buildings form the ideal soil for a new center of maritime innovation and research. The torpedo factory lies directly at the sea, offering the new innovation hub a direct dialogue with the water.The innovation center features facilities for teaching, researching and developing the newest ideas in the fields of maritime sciences. After its renovation, it will be a discovery station exhibiting the torpedo invetion, while offering a glance at the ongoing research in the new innovation port."
